I have been a Telio user, no a satisfied Telio user, for more then a year, and their services become more and more impressive.

It started with free calls to all house phones in Norway, and later also to Sweden. Then unlimited free calls to Western-Europe, United States and Canada, and a 100 free minutes per month to another 15 countries (Eastern-Europe, Japan, China, New Zealand and Australia).

From August 1st they are revolutioning the telecom market in Scandinvia once again. From that date you can call for free to 111 countries. Some countries only 25 or 50 minutes, but it’s a start. Calling to these countries more then these free minutes, will be cheaper then both Telenor and SkypeOut.

I have continued using Skype. But the use has really dropped to a minimum. Soon, it will be even less. Telio’s Xten softphone solution is now being tested. I will not go so far as to say that Skype is hype, but I will be getting a solution working far better for me soon :-)
