A Day in Frognerparken
The Norwgian company Hydro yesterday celebrated their 100 years annoversary with a free concert in the beautiful Frognerparken here in Oslo.
The event started with «The Lord of the Rings Symphony», played by Kringkastingsorkesteret, a bigger part of Sølvguttene, Oslo Bach Kor, Ensemble 96, Annbjørg Lien and Sissel Kyrkjebø.

Hydro’s free concert in Frognerparken.
This was a great picknik event. We brought with us food and fruit, and enjoyed ourselves in beautiful sunshine, but just as the movie and the music went darker, the weather followed. In the darkest part of the symphony, we got a heavy rain fall and had to seek cover under the big trees in the park. Not exactly easy when there were about 50.000 people in the park …
We came back to the park later, in the evening, to listen to the last concert. It ws the first time that saw A-HA preform live. They have always been one of my favourite bands. And it was really enjoyable. They played all their major hits and a new song from their coming album.

Kagmeister Frank with Friends.
I have never seen that many people in the park, and was quite surprised when I this morning read that a 120.000 people saw the concert. Amazing !!! The streets of Oslo must have been completly deserted.
Oh, so you wanted to see some more pictures? Well, there are some more over at Flickr.
