Øyvind, a colleague of mine, and I have started looking in to possible conference solutions for our scientific staff so that they can cut down on their travelling. We ran in to problems at once, the two first webcameras I tested were simple not useable at all. The first one was to dark and the second one had a driver that crashed each time I tried to use it. The third one work straight out of the box. Congratulations Creative, your cheap webcameras were working as supposed.

I don’t know what conference solution we will land on. There are a few that at least I would like to test. First out was Skype. It recently came out in version 2.0, and is known for it’s popularity and good quality on the sound. Picture quality also seems good, but this would probably depend more on the cameras then Skype!
