I just love Google Talk and the applications surrounding it
Today I discovered Gtalkr. A Google Talk client made in Flash, and even the VoIP part works. With most of the functionality that you find in Google’s own client. The client also checks your Gmail account, and let you read feeds from several newssites. A feature that I guess will not make in to Google’s own client, and that is the integration of Flickr. Really a nice thing.

Gtalkr reminds me quite a lot of Meebo, just that Meebo is written in AJAX. Since Meebo uses AJAX, you can drag and drop the message boxes around the screen, just as ordinary applications.
There are some pictures of a new version of Google Talk, that will hopefully soon be released. Avatars are a nice way to distinguish between your buddies. Appearently also the support for the AIM protocol is not far away.
Another Google Talk-based application that I’ve had a quick view on is Mercora IM Radio. The music selection available seems to be ok, and together with Last.fm, I have for the first time started listening to music from the Internet. Playing random music based on genre or tags is awesome!
