Not especially a big day for me as I have been running Ubuntu Dapper for a while already, but it’s a great milestone for the Gnome team. I am excited on what future releases will bring of improvements in queries and attributes. Beagle is mateuring and has reached a level that it is now actually useable. What we need now is a decent attribute editor so we can tag our files ourselves to even easier find back to them. I am very happy with my Ubuntu installations on my x86 laptop and x86-64 desktop system, and have been since the day I started running the first alpha some months ago. Today I am downloading Foresight-0.9.4-x96 VMWARE image for my VMWARE player, a great way to access Linux when you are working in Windows.

I hope that the Ubuntu team will soon also start publishing VMWARE images, and also images for Virtual Machine from Parallels (a cheap and impressive virtualization software).
