In the beginning I wasn’t sure that Jajah would be anything else then “Cool today, gone tomorrow!”. But with their last newsupdate, I think that they might be here to stay:

They have announced that Jajah users can call the most called countries in the world for free. Jajah also let any registered JAJAH user can call any other registered users for free. But unlike Skype, this not just PC to PC, Jajah lets it’s user call between landline and mobile for free. Impressive, isn’t it?

To make it easier, they have released three small extensions/plugins to Firefox, Outlook and Addressbook (for MacOS X). I really like the Addressbook plugin, but cannot say anything about the Outlook plugin, as I am not using that application ever. The Firefox plugins disappoints me big time. Why? Just have a look at the screenshot:

It turns every publishing date on some sites in to Jajah phone numbers, not a pretty sight. I wonder why they didn’t put this effort in to doing a Thunderbird extension instead? Thunderbird has a decent addressbook. A better browser extension could be made for Opera, as a widget!
