Digital TV
Today I decided to upgrade my cable TV and got myself a digital setup box. The quality on the analogue system I had was everything then perfect. Quite a few of the channels were unsharp. Honestly, I was not to happy about the situation, but didn’t want to upgrade to digital. I had heard people complain, but also that it would mean extra monthly costs.
This morning I browsed UPC’s national pages and found that they had a summer offer, setup box and the two first months for free. I did a call and already this evening the box was delivered on my door step. Some minutes later I was enjoying 39 digital channels. And the quality? It can be described in one word: AWESOME. Another great thing is that I got 3 BBC channels, BBC Prime, World and Food, together with another 15 new channels. Sadly, no German channels. RTL and Sat1 were available for an additional extra fee.
The digital box is pretty much a computer with ethernet, 2 usb and 2 firewire ports. Hm, what services are planned?
