Today, the Norwegian online IT magazine digi.no had an article about it, under the title “The new Skype adventure”. JAJAH has passed their first million of users. Digi.no also had another story, in Norway we have to many VoIP providers. JAJAH is a fresh breath here, quite so different from the others, as no software needs to be installed on your machine to establish a call. It’s all more or less done on the server side, except from you actually choosing what phone you would like to call with, and to who you would like to call! It’s what the company behind JAJAH calls web-activated telephony. Why is this solution so brilliant? Cause in many, for instance Germany, Deutsche Telecom, still requires that you have a telephone to get broadband (ADSL). JAJAH doesn’t have any monthly fixed fee, you only pay lower rates then on regular phones when it is not completely free.

I today started recommending their solutions as well. One friend registered straight away and called me. He was amazed of the quality. There is truly nothing to say on the sound quality, it is just as good as on a regular phone call. A colleague also got her introduction to JAJAH today, and I am to test the solution with her tomorrow.I today got JAJAH installed on my mobilephone (Nokia N70) and as I have new laptop, I installed the plugin on to the AddressBook on my MacBook Pro. These tools are, as mentioned, not needed, but make it easier to place a call. Others are also available.
