I have gotten my new MacBook Core2Duo and are ready to start testing new software for MacOS X. The first interesting news is FUSE, a project done by Amit Singh, who is better known for the book Mac OS X Internals. He is currently working for Google, and recently published the Mac-version of FUSE. FUSE is a package with several filesystems, including NTFS (the Windows filesystem). Both read and write to Windows partitions are support, and the toolset is therefor a must for BootCamp users!

Other filesystems are FlickrFS, PicasaFS and GmailFS, and WebDAV? Why? MacOS X comes with support for WebDAV out of the box. All the filesystems that come as part of FUSE can be mounted directly in Finder.

MacFUSE can be downloaded from Google.
