Microsoft releases Office Open XML File Format Converter for Mac 0.1b (Beta)
Microsoft today released their first beta of Office Open XML Converter. A tool that lets you convert Office Open XML files to RTF. Currently only converts for two file formats are implemented, Word Document (*.docx) and Word Macro-Enabled Document (*.docm). The converter lets you, as MacLink, convert one and one file or que up a large number of files for convertsion.
The two new file formats are funnily enough converted to Rich Text Format (RTF), and not Word (.doc)!
As we have already started giving some of our staff Office 2007, this tool set is highly appreciated and it will surely make life a bit easier. Support for the new PowerPoint and Excel document formats are expected later this summer.
More information is of course available at the Mac Mojo Blog.
