I was sitting at the kitchen enjoying my first coffee cup of the day, and then as always reading some online newspapers. Today I found an article in the English (International) section of Spiegel: Untouched Communist-Era Apartment Discovered.

Imagine time standing still for about 20 years. Well, that is more or less the case with a small appartment in former D.D.R. An architect opened an appartment last week that was abandoned in a hurry in early 1989. It gives an intriguing glimpse into everyday life in communist times.

Live in Hungary was never as bad as in Eastern Germany, but the article reminds me a little bit of the vacations I had as a kid in Hungary and all those Hungarian brands that didn’t make it in a free market.
