I was down at Platekompaniet looking for some new CDs, and I heard a cool song being played as I entered the shop, and got thinking of one application that I have on my iPhone. I fired up Shazam and made it listen to the song playing. Within half a minute the song was recognized and the album presented to me. I could then go to the staff for a private listening. And yes, I ended up buying the album. To make the tool even more useful, the results page includes shortcuts to the iTunes WiFi […] Continue reading →

A brilliant story if you ask me: A Norfolk farmer who was struggling to come up with a fearsome enough scarecrow struck on a novel, and terrifying, idea… Marlon Brooks modelled his scarecrow on singer Amy Winehouse – and says she’s scaring off the pigeons that kept attacking his sugar beet. So I guess that the next 10.000 songs will […] Continue reading →

And what a concert it was, I guess this might go down as the concert of the year for me. The concert was with the Blues artist Bjørn Berge, and it was the kick off of his Tour across Europe this summer. You never heard of him? Neither had I … . Volker had seen him 5 years ago, and was amazed by his guitar skills. I saw why, an amazing […] Continue reading →
