Of course we don’t know everything that the iPhone in the end will be capable to do. Apple has probably saved something for the final release. My biggest thing against it, is that it except for bringing a new way to interact with the phone, doesn’t deliver anything new. In fact it is pretty useless when it comes to productivity! Important news in the version is support for the SIP protocol and support for Unicode – all of those funny characters that appears instead of Ææ, Øø and Åå should now be real letters! I just had to try to sync my new mobilephone with my Mac. Not much a problem, only that some e-mails started appearing twice on my Mac, filed under both work and other. I guess this is explainable: At work I sync with Lotus Notes 7.x, at home under Vista with Outlook 2007 and on the mac with the inbuilt AddressBook and iCal. These were more or less the words from my sister today, when she heard that I had bought a new phone yesterday. It was more or less as meeting yourself in the door. She remembered very well how much I disliked Nokia two, three years ago. But things have, as so often, changed. Today I am a satisfied owner of a Nokia E60.
