The world seems to be changing. It’s not many years ago tornadoes were unheard of in Europe. May 20th a tornado/hurricane appeared in the small village Gatér in Bács-Kiskun county (in between Kiskunfélegyhaza and Csongrád). Gatér is not to far from my “hometown” Mindszent. Delvilag - Heat record in Szeged

Just as most Norwegians are getting fed up by all the rain they have been getting this summer, most Hungarians have gotten enough of the extreme summer weather. The last couple of days all previous heat records have been broken, and since yesterday the new official temperature record is 41,9 C. En av de beste bøkene jeg har lest

I am doing something as rare as reading a book in Norwegian. Friends of me would know that I don’t enjoy reading much. This is as actually only the second book of the year, and the first one that I read in Norwegian in years. Døren – Eng. title: The Door – is a novel written by the Hungarian writer Magda Szabó back in 1987, but it only this year got published in Norwegian (an English version was published in 1995).
