The service pack delivers significant stability, performance and interoperability improvements for us endusers (more than 600 fixes and improvements). Two weeks ago Microsoft put up a blog post informing users that Service Pack 2 for the 2007 Microsoft Office System was due to ship April 28th. If I am correct, that should be today. The service package is to have a focus interoperability, and therefor include support for Open Document Format (ODF), and better support for both XML Paper Specification (XPS) and Portable Document Format (PDF). It’s two months since I got the first introduction to Windows 7 (code named Vienna) at Microsoft Tech-Ed 2008 in Barcelona, and this week Microsoft released a public beta of their next client operating system. I have installed it on my MacBook Pro, and plan to install it on an office machine in AD and on my home machine. I am not much a gamer, and not a singer either. But having said that, I must add that I simply love the karaoke game Lips for XBOX 360. I saw a commercial of the game, where they played Young Folks (by Peter, Bjorn & John) and I was sold. I just had to buy the game and it was released just in time for the holiday season.
